ForTheOneWho is a small, one-person project. I make short gift lists organised by who you're buying for.

Most gift guides are sorted by price, which is backwards. Nobody wakes up thinking "I need to spend $30." They think "I have no idea what to get my sister-in-law." So every guide here is built around a person you might be stuck on, and the whole job of the page is to get you from stuck to decided in about two minutes.

What I do and don't do

I'm a curator, not a reviewer. I haven't personally tested most of what I recommend, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. What I do is narrow: I read widely, I think about who a thing actually suits, and I cut anything that doesn't clear the bar for that specific list.

You won't find star ratings or prices here. Ratings belong on Amazon, where they're current. Prices change daily, and a number on this page would be wrong by the time you read it.

How this is funded
