ForTheOneWho is run by one person. This page explains what happens to data when you visit.
What I collect directly
Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no newsletter on this site. If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote, and I use it only to reply.
Analytics
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites. What I see is aggregate: page views, referrers, rough country, browser type.
Cookies from Amazon and other third parties
This is the part that matters. When you click a link to Amazon from this site, Amazon places a cookie in your browser. That cookie is how Amazon knows the visit came from here, and it's what allows me to be paid a commission if you buy something. It typically lasts 24 hours.
That cookie is set by Amazon, not by me. I can't read it, and I never see who you are, what you looked at, or what you bought. Amazon reports totals to me — number of clicks, number of items ordered, commission earned — with no information about individual people.
Amazon and other advertisers may also serve content, collect information directly from you, and place or recognise cookies on your browser. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy notices, not this one. You can read Amazon's at amazon.com/privacy.
Fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Your choices
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Nothing on this site will break.
- Manage Amazon's advertising preferences in your Amazon account settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data held about you. Since I hold essentially none, this usually means your email if you've written to me. Ask and I'll delete it.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it.
